Considered the most unusual building in Branson, the 12,000 sq. foot Ripley's Odditorium is everything it's cracked up to be! Having recently gone through an extensive renovation, we have crammed as much fun into one building as is possible. There are over 400 "unbelievable" artifacts, jaw dropping oddities, world records, amazing illusions, pranks of nature, cool inter-actives and awesome works of art.

Just a few of the newest additions include a full size stagecoach made from 1.5 million toothpicks and a pair of horses made from welded horseshoes. The Shepherd of the Hills Vigilante ZipRider is an exciting new thrill ride! Launching from the open air deck of the Inspiration Tower, the Vigilante ZipRider whisks guests on an adrenaline pumping downhill ride over The Shepherd of the Hills' 160 acre homestead. The Shepherd of the Hills is one of the most popular stories in the history of American literature. It was here that it happened... here it was written... and here it lives today!

Hop on a Jeep-drawn tram to enjoy a 90-minute tour of The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. Your first stop will be the original structure of Old Matt's Cabin, which served as the Ross family home for approximately 30 years before it was established in history through Harold Bell Wright's famous novel (and on the National Registry of Historic Places). Inside the cabin you will find numerous antiques and historical items, including clothing worn by John and Anna Ross, some of their furniture, photographs, tools, cooking utensils, and much more.

The following stop will be at a quaint church relocated to the homestead from Morgan County, Missouri. The church was constructed in 1901 and resembles one that Harold Bell Wright preached in during his time in Kansas.

Take a behind-the-scenes look at The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama during the next phase of your tour. The tour guide will take you down on set, where you will be up close with Old Matt's steam engine and grist mill. Here you will learn all that it takes to put on the production every night. The hallmark of the museum is the world's largest war memorial sculpture. Over five tons of clay was used to sculpt this seventy foot long, fifteen ton bronze sculpture which consists of fifty life-size soldiers storming a beach. Each figure is modeled after an actual combat veteran from each of the fifty states. The walls of the museum are covered with the names of those killed in action in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and other recent conflicts of the 20th century.

Cosmic Cavern is one of Arkansas' hidden treasures. You will see 2 bottomless cave lakes during your 1hr and 15 minute tour. The first lake, South Lake, has had trout in it for nearly 50 years. Some trout have gone blind and most have lost their color. The bottom or end of these lakes has yet to be found.

Come see our newly discovered area "Silent Splendor." Silent Splendor has been hailed as a must see in Arkansas. Silent Splendor houses one of the longest soda straw formations in the Ozarks measuring over an incredible 9 feet!

Don't forget to bring your camera. In our Buddha Room we actually have a picture studio set up where our guides will take your family picture with your camera... no charge. This really makes a great personal souvenir.)

Talking Rocks Cavern is open year round. The gift shop opens daily at 9:30 a.m. Talking Rocks Cavern is vertical in nature, and has concrete handrails and steps throughout the cave. People of all ages go into our cave on a regular basis where they can enjoy the comfortable 62 degree cave air.

The hour long tour of Talking Rocks Cavern is what we refer to as "edutainment." By this, I mean that we focus on education, as well as entertainment. It is educational in nature, as you will learn about the caves discovery and related history, as well as learn about the mineral deposits and other geological information while on your tour. The tour is also entertaining. Our cave guides are ready to answer questions that you may have, and can find answers to those questions that they may not already know.

Talking Rocks Cavern was first named "Fairy Cave" by the early cave developer, Turman Powell, after he first explored the cave. His comment was that it looked like "a subterranean fairy land". The caves name was changed to Talking Rocks Cavern in 1969 when Silver Dollar City purchased the cave. They chose to change the name based on a quote from Waldo Powell, son of Turman Powell. Waldo would spend a lot of time looking at the rocks and mineral deposits in the cave, and noted that the physical evidence in the cave would tell him a story about how it formed...thus, it was inspiration for the new name "Talking Rocks Cavern".

We have a SpeleoBox crawl maze, nature trail and lookout tower, and picnic areas that are free to our guests. We offer Gemstone mining (aka: sluicing); just purchase a bag of gemstone mix, mine this in our sluice operation, and keep all the gemstones you find!

The National Tiger Sanctuary is geared towards teaching preservation through education using large cats as the ambassadors for it's mission. There are 18 big cats of a variety of species and you can get up close to everyone of them for a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will change the way you think and feel about the environment. Tours are conducted 3 times daily.)

Come on down to The Shepherd of the Hills and take a trail ride through history. This 45 minute ride is on horses used in the action packed drama, The Shepherd of the Hills, and runs through the historic homestead, and will take you on some of the same trails the Baldknobbers rode.

See the majestic Ozark hills, The Trail Nobody Knows How Old, ride down in the Holler, all in the beautiful shade of the Ozark woods. This is your chance to ride a real show horse.

Rides are available between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Rides are every hour on the hour from 9 am until 3 pm Monday - Saturday. Arrive 30 minutes before trail ride time for instructions. Participants must be 7 years old or older, at least 4 feet tall, and sdultd must weigh less than 250 lbs. Closed toed shows must be worn, no flip flops or sandals. Riders 17 and under will be provided with a helmet and must wear it. Adult riders must be able to get on a horse by themselves.
